The Social Involvement Committee (SIC) undertakes initiatives to help alleviate the state of affairs of the underprivileged members of the society (the youth, women, elderly and unemployed) through sharing of knowledge. Among the key undertakings of SIC are the seminars (webinars) on Basic Financial Literacy, Basic Bookkeeping and Livelihood Projects.
In the recent past, SIC had rolled out these programs to more than a thousand beneficiaries through institutional partnerships with reliable NGOs and related organizations. In 2023, the Committee was very engaged especially in the conduct of out of town sessions. Through FINEX member, Gina Marie Angangco, SIC was able to link with the PNP and later, the AFP thus, covering the men in uniform.
In addition, sessions were also conducted for employees and retiring employees of 10 private companies, and to our fellow Muslim brethrens.
A total of 17 financial literacy trainings were conducted and reached out approximately to 1,400 individuals.
