FINEX Institute Directors and Officers

On top of having a degree in Psychology from the Philippine
Normal University, Mharicar is also a chartered business
administrator and has earned several HR certifications in
compensation and benefits, Labor Relations and Talent
Acquisition. She also completed the Ayala Group Leader’s
Program under Harvard Business Publishing, Digital Business
Strategies under Columbia Business School, and Executive
Development Program under Kellogg School of Management at
Northwestern University.

Mharicar began her career in an HR consulting and headhunting
firm. Ten years later, she rose to become its Chief Operating
Officer. Equipped with a wealth of experience in HR, she then
moved on to head the Talent Acquisition group of Globe Telecom,
a leading telecommunications company in the Philippines. Later
on, she became Director of HR Shared Services of the said
company, serving for almost five years. In 2015, she took over
Asticom as General Manager and three years later, became
President and CEO up to the present.

Her work is focused on Strategy and Organizational Design, Engineering, and Development, including
the design and definition of Competency Frameworks, Policies, and Procedures.

She is a Board Director and Vice-President for Internal Affairs of the Financial Executives Institute
of the Philippines (Finex), a Board Trustee of the Shareholders Association of the Philippines
(SharePhil), and a member of the Council of Presidents of AIESEC Alumni Philippines. She is also
a member of the Women’s Business Council Philippines ( WomenBiz).

Before her consulting days, Mignon built her career in Finance, becoming Chief Financial Officer
and then General Manager and Chief Executive Officer of Otis Elevator Company in the
Philippines. She was also a micro entrepreneur, co-owning religious book shops located in the
malls, a company providing international administrative services, and a very micro call center.

Mignon is a Certified Public Accountant. She has a Master’s Degree in Business Administration
and a Bachelor of Science Degree in Business Administration and Accountancy, both from the
University of the Philippines. She has also taken executive courses from the University of Virginia
and Yale University, as well as with Hyper Island.

She is currently Senior Vice President and Chief Finance Officer for Philippine Operations of ACEN Corporation, the listed energy arm of the Ayala Group of Companies.

Before joining ACEN, she was the Group CFO and Treasurer of Solar Philippines. Prior to this she was with SM Investments Corporation as Vice President for Investments Portfolio and CFO and Treasurer of Sagittarius Mines, Inc. She was also CFO of Alphaland Corporation.

Jing graduated from the University of the Philippines College of Law with a Juris Doctor degree (cum laude, Class Salutatorian) and a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Administration and Accountancy (cum laude). She holds a Master of Laws degree from Harvard Law School. She is admitted to practice law in the Philippines and New York. She is also a member of the faculty of the College of Law of the University of the Philippines.

She has been a member of FINEX since 2014. She is currently the Co-Chairperson of the Young Finance Officers Committee and was the Co-Chairperson of the 2023 FINEX Week Committee. She is an active member of the Arts and Culture Committee and the 2024 FINEX Week. 

He is currently Head of Philippines Corporate Finance and Capital Markets at CLSA and President and CEO of CLSA Exchange Capital, Inc, and has worked on over 100 capital markets and mergers & acquisitions mandates worth over US$ 14.0Bn in total. From 2018 to 2021, he served as the President & CEO of CIMB Bancom Capital where he started the Philippine investment banking business of CIMB.

Paolo is concurrently an Adjunct Professor at the Asian Institute of Management, where he teaches courses in Investment Banking, Mergers & Acquisitions, Sustainable Business Models, and Entrepreneurial Finance & Valuation. He previously taught at the Ateneo de Manila University J. Gokongwei School of Management, the University of the Philippines School of Economics and Department of Sociology, and at Robert Morris College in Chicago, Illinois.

Paolo has a BS (cum laude) & MA Economics from the University of the Philippines School of Economics and an MBA from the University of Illinois at Chicago, where he graduated at the top of his class with a perfect 4.0 GPA. In 2019, he finished the Program for Leadership Development (alternative Executive MBA) at the Harvard Business School.

Prior to that, she was a Partner in Audit and Assurance before she moved to AS, in which she has gained a wide-ranging experience in the audit of local and multinational companies in various industries.  

Mai has been in public accounting for nearly 35 years. She has significant experience in supporting local businesses and foreign investors with their private equity investment acquisition and disposals which includes due diligence, valuation, transaction structuring and post-acquisition support.  She also has experience in supporting family businesses and corporations to transform their corporate governance and internal control systems and business processes.

She also leads the Firm’s Brand & Communications & Business Development Group, which handles public relations and business development.

Mai graduated with a bachelor’s degree in accounting, cum laude, from the University of the East. She has also completed the Management Development Program of the Asian Institute of Management, as well as the Strategic Marketing Management Program of Stanford University’s Graduate School of Business. Mai has also received EMCC Global Individual Accreditation (EIA) as a coach and mentor practitioner from the European Mentoring and Coaching Council (EMCC).

He was an advisor of the Department of Finance for the Tax Reform (TRAIN) package for the capital markets. Bing has been a Chairman, President and CEO, Board Director and Senior Vice President of several financial institutions, publicly listed corporations and non-profit organizations. He is also an Independent Director of a government financial institution, an agency of the DOF.

He graduated from the University of the Philippines with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree. He also has a Masters in Business Management degree from the Asian Institute of Management.

Prior to joining the PDS Group, she worked at BPI Capital Corp. and Citigroup (New York). She has been a member of Financial Executives Institute of the Philippines (FINEX) since 2011 and is currently a FINEX board director. 

Ms. Zulueta earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Legal Management from the Ateneo de Manila University and her Global Professional MBA in Finance from Fordham University in New York, USA.
