Pagpapalakas ng Kaunlaran para sa Pagbabago

IPINAGDIWANG ng Financial Executive Institute of the Philippines (FINEX) ang ika-56 na annual conference nito noong Setyembre 30 hanggang Oktubre 4. Ang tema sa taong ito ay “Empower Progress, Inspire Change: Transformational Growth through Sustainability, Diversity, and Digitalization.”

Naganap ang unang sesyon ng 2024 FINEX Week sa Fairmont Hotel, Makati City at ang paksa nito ay “Global Perspective on Sustainability, Diversity, and Digitalization.” Naging keynote speaker si Deputy Ambassador Alistair White galing sa Embahada ng Britanya. Pagkatapos ng kanyang talumpati, nagkaroon ng roundtable discussion at ang nagsilbi bilang mga panelist ay sina dating Energy Secretary Vince Perez at Jonathan Back ng ACEN Corporation. Si Gay Santos ng Water.org ang na­ging moderator ng open forum.

Noong Oktubre 1, ang pangalawang sesyon ay ginawa sa pamamagitan ng Zoom meeting na iprini­sinta ng FINEX Good Governance Committee at FINEX Foundation Environment Committee. Si Benjamin Villacorte ng SGV & Co. ang nagsalita tungkol sa “Climate Risks and Opportunities: Building Climate Change Resilience.” Ang mga panelist ay sina Ann Dumaliang ng Masungi Georeserve Foundation, Rudi Ramin ng PCX, at Paco Magsaysay ng Carmen’s Best, habang si Katrina Francisco ng SGV ang naging moderator.

Sa pangatlong sesyon noong Oktubre 2, naging Zoom meeting din at ito naman ay sa pamamahala ng Young Finance Officers Committee at Women in Finance Committee ng FINEX. Si dating Finance Secretary Ramon del Rosario Jr. at ang kanyang anak na si Danielle del Rosario ng PHINMA Group ang nagtalumpati tungkol sa “Navigating Generational Gap toward Transformative Growth.” Si Paviter Kaur ng Deloitte Southeast Asia ang naging panelist at si Salve Duplito ng ABS-CBN News Channel ang nagsilbi bilang moderator.

Ang FINEX Ethics Committee at Professional Development Committee naman nag-sponsor ng pang-apat na sesyon noong Oktubre 3 via Zoom ulit. Si Dr. Christopher Monterola ng Asian Institute of Management ang nagsalita tungkol sa “Practical Applications of AI to Achieve Philippine Development Goals.” Sina Atty. Rose King-Dominguez ng SyCipLaw at Rey Lugtu ng Hung­ry Workhorse ang mga pane­list habang si Paolo Azurin ng CLSA Philippines ang moderator.

Panghuling sesyon ng FINEX Week na ginanap sa Shangri-La at the Fort, Taguig City. Buong araw ito at ang pangunahing keynote speaker ay si Jaime Augusto Zobel de Ayala ng Ayala Corporation, samantala si Lorelie Quiambao-Osial ng Pilipinas Shell ang huling keynote speaker sa plenary sessions. Merong limang breakout sessions sa annual conference na ito at isa-isa natin kilalanin ang mga sumali dito:

Pagkatapos ng mga mahahalagang sesyon nitong 2024 FINEX Week, nag-unwind naman ang mga miyembro ng pangunahing CFO organization sa bansa doon sa Narra Hall ng Shangri-La BGC. Ang host ng FINEX Night ay si DJ Sam YG at naghandog ng special performance ang acoustic pop star na si Nyoy Volante. Nagkantahan at sayawan ang mga FINEX members buong gabi upang mag celebrate sa matagumpay na annual conference nila ngayong taon.
